My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Scott's Barn. The cottage itself was charming and beautifully decorated, with a perfect blend of rustic and modern elements. It was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including underfloor heating and a fully equipped kitchen. The owners, Delores and Des, were incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, providing a stair gate and even bringing over extra toys for our children. The location was peaceful and serene, allowing us to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while still being a short drive away from major attractions. The welcome basket and stocked fridge were a pleasant surprise and made us feel right at home. I can't recommend Scott's Barn enough. It truly exceeded our expectations and made our family vacation unforgettable.

I felt like a real adventurer, hiking and cycling in the area. The holiday home had everything I needed, including a dishwasher. And the continental breakfast was a fancy touch.
Oh, I just loved having to pay extra for WiFi in the public areas. It's so nice to be disconnected from the world while on holiday.

We had a pleasant stay at this country cottage. the location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions such as the lake and hiking trails. the cottage itself was well-equipped, with a fully functioning kitchen and a laundry room. the master bedroom on the ground floor was comfortable and had an ensuite shower room. the hosts were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home.
The Wi-Fi reception was poor, especially downstairs, and the bed frame in the downstairs bedroom was loose and squeaky.

The surroundings were truly scenic and breathtaking. It felt like stepping into a postcard with the mountains in the distance and lush greenery all around. We couldn't help but pause and soak in the beauty of nature.
Walking to the main town was a bit of a drawback due to the distance. But on the bright side, we all felt safe knowing that our motorbikes were securely parked and the area itself was peaceful and serene.

The decoration at Scott's Barn was absolutely delightful. The whole place was so tastefully decorated with beautiful furnishings and cozy touches. It truly made me feel right at home. The common areas were spacious and easy to navigate, perfect for senior people like myself. I loved how accessible everything was, from the ground-level bedroom to the well-maintained outdoor facilities. It was such a pleasure to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The only thing I would have asked for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could have been a bit more attentive to our needs. Although they were friendly, there were times when we needed assistance and had to wait longer than we would have liked.
